Choo-Choo

Since our time in Washington was drawing to a close, we decided to take one last opportunity to get out as a family and enjoy the scenery.  The Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad is an old steam engine and we signed up for a special Easter ride.  The boys enjoyed the old steam engine and were very excited at our stopping point along the way to meet the Easter Bunny and the Spring Bee.  The little egg hunt they had set up for the kids was a special treat...literally because our boys think a single jelly bean is a special treat.  By the end of this little adventure Zeke discovered a love for trains and proudly says "choo-choo" when he sees or hears a train. We died eggs and celebrated with an early holiday dinner on the eve of Easter.

Hans left for a field competition the next day, Easter, and the boys and I celebrated by ourselves.  The boys were thrilled with their blueberry pancake breakfast to start.  Sam found the Peter Pan movie in his Easter basket and Zeke found new play utensils for his kitchen...both boys were thrilled.  The front yard was covered with plastic eggs and the both boys weren't sure which direction to start in they were so overwhelmed.  We also were left with two weeks to prepare for moving, thank goodness Nana was coming to help.

our view from the train.

Zeke couldn't contain his fascination with all the eggs hidden in our front yard, "egga, egga" was all he could say

Easter morning, missing daddy already and he had only been gone a few hours.

Checking out his stash inside his eggs.
